The Following Meetings have been Scheduled.

Unless stated otherwise all First Thursday meetings are held in the Stanley Cooper Room at the Charing Cross Centre, 17-19 St John Maddermarket, Norwich. All meetings start at 7.30pm.

Admission is free. Visitors or prospective members are most welcome. The room has full access including a lift and toilets close by.

Thomas Goodyng - revealing a Tudor craftsman. - Mary Fewster
One of the most intriguing memorials in Norwich Cathedral is the skeleton carving commemorating Thomas Goodyng, about whom nothing was known until Mary Fewster began revealing the story of this prominent Norwich free mason. This talk gives an insight into his life and work.

A Joint Meeting between NIAS and Norwich Engineering Society

Francis Barnett and the motor cycle - the complete story” by Arthur Gent
The talk will cover the reasons why there was a motorcycle industry in Coventry in the first place; the birth of Francis & Barnett Co. Ltd in 1919 to its demise in 1966 when the then owners, Associated Motor Cycles Ltd., went bankrupt.

As always the Chairman welcomes suggestions of speakers. If you know anyone or have heard a good relevant talk please let him know.

If you can give a talk of interest to our members please get in touch with our chairman. He would particularly like to hear of members who can make a presentation to the Society, be it for a full evening (an hour to a maximum of hour and a half) or just 10 minutes on a members night.

We are able to help with the preparation of visual aids &etc.  Slide projectors, computer, digital projector and overhead projector are all available
